Salty Licorice

Salty licorice, salmiak licorice or salmiac licorice is very popular in the Nordic countries. The licorice contains ammonium chloride also called sal ammoniac to give it a salty flavor. In Sweden its called Saltlakrits; In Denmark its called Saltlakrids and in Finland its called Salmiakki.
